Volunteering is one of the most important pillars of the organization, an essential support without which it would not be possible to carry out different care and support projects for families, both inside and outside hospitals, delegations and La Casa dels Xuklis .
More and more people want to take action and think that offering part of their free time to help others is the best way to contribute to the common good. That is why the figure of the volunteer has become an indispensable engine in our current society.
And at AFANOC we have the privilege of having a very large team of volunteers who carry out this much-needed and complementary task to that of the professional team.
These are present in different intervention spaces and AFANOC takes care of training them according to the specificities of each of these spaces.
TYPES OF VOLUNTEERING

Hospitable
Its main function is to accompany, support, play, entertain and offer recreational activities to children and adolescents and their caregivers during periods of hospitalization and outpatient visits.

The House of the Xuklis
During the afternoons from Monday to Friday, they offer scheduled activities and workshops, with the aim of enriching and providing fresh air to the housed families.

Home
Children and adolescents who return home after a hospital stay often cannot immediately resume the activities that were part of their daily lives (going to school, extracurricular activities, interacting with peers …). Having the support of a volunteer helps to normalize daily life.

Events and Campaigns
Awareness-raising and dissemination actions. Participation in public events, campaigns and events to make visible the work carried out by AFANOC and expand the social and economic base of the association.

Administrative Tasks
Collaborate, at the headquarters of the entity, in tasks to support the management and organization of the activities carried out by the association in its day to day.
